Italy is strengthening its presence in Eritrea with the arrival of a new Economic Cooperation Officer at the Italian Embassy: being closer to our Eritrean partners means being better able to listen to their priorities, understand their needs and work together more directly and promptly.
The new presence in Asmara will build on the longstanding and close relations between Italy and Eritrea, strengthening ties with a historic partner with whom Italy shares a long tradition of close relations and strong historical and cultural links.
It will also provide an opportunity to explore further areas of cooperation and new partnerships, while continuing to consolidate the strong ties between our two countries.
A further step in bringing Italy and Eritrea closer and building on a relationship rooted in history, proximity and shared ties.
