Multi-Educational Programme for Employment Promotion in Migration-Affected Areas, fully transformed the 10th of Ramadan Vocational Training Centre (VTC) into a modern, market-linked hub. It combined infrastructure rehabilitation, state-of-the-art equipment across 12 industrial sectors, competency-based curricula, trainer capacity building and a dedicated job placement mechanism — creating an end-to-end
pathway from skills acquisition to employment.

Positive Life Alternative for Egyptian Youth upgrades the Fayoum Advanced Technical School into a hospitality-focused Applied Technology School, equipping students with high‑quality technical and soft skills, enhancing youth employability, and expanding pathways for regular mobility to meet the rising labour demand in Egypt’s tourism and hospitality sectors.

Trasformative Apprenticeship Coalition for Youth Employability in Egypt, Strengthens the connection between technical education and industry requirements. In partnership with the Federation of Egyptian Industries, the initiative codesigns apprenticeship pathways and supports NEETs, women, refugees, and persons with disabilities with personalized guidance, skills development, and inclusive work-based learning opportunities.

Applied Technology Schools and Teachers’ Enhancement Project supported the Ministry of Education and Technical Education in establishing the ATS Management Unit, now overseeing the expansion of more than 80 Applied Technology Schools nationwide and providing the institutional backbone that enables the model’s effective rollout.

Italian-Egyptian Integrated Technical Education Cluster (ITEC) in Abu Ghaleb City, Giza Governorate, created a bilingual training hub offering both Technical Secondary School and Intermediate Technological College pathways. With specializations ranging from photovoltaic systems to industrial automation and garment manufacturing, the cluster boosts graduates’ employability in Egypt’s expanding industrial sectors.

Robbiki Technical Training component equips leather industry workers with modern tanning techniques, safe machinery use and environmentally responsible practices through specialised courses and Italian expert-led technology transfer. Training

EU-ZIRA3A strengthens modern farming through hands-on training in precision agriculture, Good Agricultural Practices and integrated pest management, delivered via Farmer Field Schools. Technical capacity building covers agricultural machinery, food processing equipment, and artificial insemination for veterinarians and livestock keepers. Resource-efficient technologies such as drip irrigation and solar-powered pumps are promoted to enhance sustainability and farm productivity.

EU-KAFI delivers a connected cycle of technical training covering Good Agricultural Practices, climate-resilient farming practices, agricultural machinery use and advanced laboratory skills in speed breeding, genetics and seed certification. On-the-job training on the project’s phytotron and seed processing plants ensures practical application. The approach optimises resources use and strengthens efficiency across the wheat production chain. The programme reaches 400,000 farmers, trains 1,000 mechanics and drivers, and strengthens the capacity of personnel of public institutions.

In its third phase, this initiative has trained over the years more than 9,500 nurses and doctors across four governorates through structured mentorship, tutorship and training programmes. A scholarship programme enables selected health professionals to enhance their clinical practice at leading Italian hospitals and universities.
