Dr. Martino Melli, the Head of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) Cairo office, highlighted the role of the Italian agency in supporting the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector in Egypt. During the session held on international companies and international cooperation at EDUTECH, he emphasized various sectors and fields implemented by AICS highlighting the role of the MEPEP Programme which is considered a Key Collaborator for TVET in Egypt, and he highlighted as well other Programmes in different sectors for instance the EU-ZIRA3A Programme which is focusing on agriculture including vocational training in agriculture sector., Finally, he underscored the agency’s commitment to the continuous support the TVET sector through different cooperation projects, trainer of trainer as well as other education initiatives. This year, MEPEP-AICS participated in the International Fair and Forum for technical, vocational education, training, and Career Pathways EDUTECH, Third Edition, held on April 17th and 18th. Together with the European Delegation in Egypt, KFW and GIZ, the MEPEP programme has formed the #TEAMEUROPE booth to elaborate on the european and italian efforts in enhancing the TVET sector in Egypt.
